The Difference Between PTE And IELTS
Both the IELTS or PTE Academic tests are designed to test your level of English, however they differ in various ways:
- The IELTS tests the four skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking separately, whereas the PTE Academic assesses more than one skill at a time.
- IELTS is completely paper based and PTE Academic is entirely computer based.
The topics in IELTS are semi-academic and are of general interest. The recordings are spoken by actors while PTE Academics make use of authentic materials, for example real academic lectures.
